What Is Your Vacation Planning Attachment Style?
Take our quiz and find out!

How do you typically plan your vacation?
A) I create a spreadsheet with thirteen color-coded tabs listing all the sights and activities in a minute-by-minute itinerary. I share it with everyone going on the trip, but I’m the only one with editing privileges. I research Airbnbs and track down the individual reviewers to confirm the accuracy of their reviews and get their fingerprints. Planning is the best part.
B) I rarely know where I’m going until I get there. When I’m there, sometimes I still don’t know where I am. Like this one time, I thought I was in Paris, but it turned out I was in Quebec!
C) Vacation planning is soooo stressful, but I love it. I love it so much. It does make me anxious though. Too many decisions to make: which flight, which hotel, what to see, what not to see, will I get murdered, where to park. I procrastinate booking until the very last minute when everything is pretty much sold out and twice the price. I love it though, haha.
How do you pack for your trip?
A) The three C’s: checklists, compression bags, and cubes (packing).
B) I just buy stuff when I get there. How should I know what I’ll need? I can’t see the future, lol!
C) Packing is soooo stressful. I procrastinate until an hour before my flight, and then I pack too much stuff and all the wrong things. One time, I brought an air fryer in my carry-on to Italy and then didn’t even use it once. Do you ever get the worst cold feet the night before your trip and just want to hide under the covers and not leave your house? No? Me, neither.
How do you handle an unforeseen scenario on your vacation?
A) There is no such thing as an unforeseen scenario. I have a contingency plan for everything. Wait, are you saying there are people who don’t have a bunker on standby when they travel?
B) I love that anything can happen! Like this one time, I stumbled into a drug lord’s costume party. It was super fun. And it worked out perfectly when I couldn’t identify them at the trial because of the masks.
