Hello valued educators of Warren G. Harding Elementary,

Thank you for your continued commitment to our students! I know it has been difficult to teach virtually again this week. We finally achieved full mask compliance among our student scholars, and then some little masked critters surprised us!

Pest control is working around the clock to safely and humanely remove that adorable family of raccoons from the third floor closet. Let’s all send Ms. Jones our support, as she heals from those raccoon love nips. Ms. Jones, we will see you as soon as you finish your rabies shots! Like immediately after, please, because we have no substitutes.

To everyone else, please accept this email as a gentle reminder that you must still supervise recess, even though our kiddos are home. Parents have called to let us know that you are allowing students to step away from the camera, and directly engage with them during recess time.

Our parents, who are our trusted partners, have asked that we keep the children online throughout any “break” time. They fear their children have missed too much instruction already. One father expressed his frustration well…
